BERNADETTE S. BLEKA, 64, of Howell Twp., NJ, passed away on Saturday, March 3, 2018, at Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus, Lakewood, NJ. She was born in Jersey City, NJ, and resided in Port Monmouth, NJ, prior to settling in Howell Twp., 34 years ago.
Bernadette was employed as an Army Civilian and worked as an Executive Secretary for over 35 years, retiring in 2011.
She was a Member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Freehold, NJ.
Bernadette was predeceased by her Parents, Richard and Monica Gallagher; her Husband, Martin Bleka; her Brother, Charles Gallagher; and by her Sisters, Barbara Wyckoff, and Helen Gallagher. She is Survived by her Son, James Welch of Howell Twp., NJ; her Daughter, Jodi Zimmerman and her Husband, Jason of Jackson Twp., NJ; her 14 Grandchildren; her 7 Great grandchildren; her Sister, Catherine Weaver of FL; and by her Daughter-in-law, Melissa Welch of Hazlet.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her visitation from 5-8 PM on Thursday, March 8, 2018, at the GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ 08527. Her Funeral Service will be offered at 10:00 AM on Friday, March 9, 2018, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1348 Old Freehold Rd., Toms River, NJ. Please gather at 9:45 AM at the church. Entombment will follow in Ocean County Memorial Park, 1722 Silverton Rd., Toms River, NJ 08753.
