The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Bernadette Bleka can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

The lighting of a Memorial Candle not only provides a gesture of sympathy and support to the immediate family during their time of need but also provides the gift of extending the Book of Memories for future generations.

S. Teresa Misyak, OSF

My cousin Bernadette's spiritual life journey to God reminds me that hers was a successful life-long quest that we all must undergo. At the viewing of her sister Barbara, I remarked that Bernadette looked so peaceful. She answered: "I am." She then spoke about the gift Barbara had been to her and to so many others. Later she explained to family members that her life significantly became more peaceful when she decided to forgive someone who had deeply emotionally scarred her when she was a child. I think that her relationship with husband Marty was a milestone beginning of a journey to a deep and abiding relationship of understanding and love of God and others. She not only discovered a new extended family, but also the joy and satisfaction of a life of service lived within that family. Heartfelt condolences to Jimmy, Catherine, Jody and all of Bernadette's family and friends (Mary!) who love and will miss her. But I grieve not for my Cousin who I believe is enjoying a reunion with family and friends and with her beloved Lord whom I also believe were present to welcome her when her spirit joyfully passed-over to join them in eternity. I celebrate your life. Well-lived, Bernadette! Pray and intercede for us. Cousin Sr. Theresa
