Condolence:
My cousin Bernadette's spiritual life journey to God reminds me that hers was a
successful life-long quest that we all must undergo.
At the viewing of her sister Barbara, I remarked that Bernadette looked so peaceful.
She answered: "I am." She then spoke about the gift Barbara had been to her and to so many others. Later she explained to family members that her life significantly became more peaceful when she decided to forgive someone who had deeply emotionally scarred her when she was a child.
I think that her relationship with husband Marty was a milestone beginning of a journey to a deep and abiding relationship of understanding and love of God and others. She not only discovered a new extended family, but also the joy and satisfaction of a life of service lived within that family.
Heartfelt condolences to Jimmy, Catherine, Jody and all of Bernadette's family and friends (Mary!) who love and will miss her. But I grieve not for my Cousin who I believe is enjoying a reunion with family and friends and with her beloved Lord whom I also believe were present to welcome her when her spirit joyfully passed-over to join them in eternity.
I celebrate your life. Well-lived, Bernadette! Pray and intercede for us.

Cousin Sr. Theresa

Condolence: Bernadette was a person who was willing to help anyone she could just from the short time I got to know her. She offered to stay with my wife who is on hospice with brain cancer so I could still work when needed. If it was not for the kind heart this person had, I would not have been able to work at all. She was a fine person and will be missed by alot of people because she touched so many lives and most likely did not realize it.

Don't grieve for me, now I'm free
I'm following the path GOD laid for me
I took his hand when I heard him call
I turned my back and left it all.
