The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Joseph Silvestri can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence: Uncle Joe, that’s what I called him, that’s how I knew him. Though our families lived miles apart and we didn’t visit as often as we would have liked, I knew Uncle Joe well. I knew him through the family stories told by my Mom and Dad, of the times they were able to spend with Uncle Joe and Aunt Edna in their younger years. From all of those stories and our last visit with him, I know that he was a man of strong character, a man rich in values and traditions, a caring and giving man, a very wise business man and I know that he was a proud and loving father and husband. You see, if you were ever blessed with the chance to sit and talk to Uncle Joe for just a few minutes you too would know all of these things about him, he was just that kind of man.
