The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Richard Dolan can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

To Family: Sorry to learn of Dicks passing. It was always a pleasure to meet with him in the field at various PA facilities and functions. e.g. Airports, tunnels, bridges, WTC, PABT, Port Service Club for 25 year employees, etc. You name it and we both were there for final inspections making sure that the contractors had completed their work according to the specifications and appropriate codes. He represented the Engineering Department and I The Inspection and Safety Division. Dick had a wonderful disposition and enjoyed a good laugh. Following retirement (Mine was 1995) we would see each other occasionally at TLWOTMC in Fort LEE. Dick joined the PA on 6/29/53. I joined three years later on 6/6/56. I told my boss a month later that I was going to take my weeks vacation in August. He said, "What vacation?" I said, " the PAI,s directed that anyone joining the PA prior to 6/10 were allowed one weeks vacation." Needless to say I did not endear myself, but I took it regardless. Dick was born in 1930 and I 1934. I know he enjoyed the Jersey shore as I do and from time to time he would phone me when he was Jersey side. So long pal, meet you in paradise. May God bless Dick real well. Jim Duncan
