The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Condolence From: James Duncan
Condolence: To Family:
Sorry to learn of Dicks passing. It was always a pleasure to meet with him in the field at various PA facilities and functions. e.g. Airports, tunnels, bridges, WTC, PABT, Port Service Club for 25 year employees, etc. You name it and we both were there for final inspections making sure that the contractors had completed their work according to the specifications and appropriate codes. He represented the Engineering Department and I The Inspection and Safety Division. Dick had a wonderful disposition and enjoyed a good laugh. Following retirement (Mine was 1995) we would see each other occasionally at TLWOTMC in Fort LEE. Dick joined the PA on 6/29/53. I joined three years later on 6/6/56. I told my boss a month later that I was going to take my weeks vacation in August. He said, "What vacation?" I said, " the PAI,s directed that anyone joining the PA prior to 6/10 were allowed one weeks vacation." Needless to say I did not endear myself, but I took it regardless. Dick was born in 1930 and I 1934. I know he enjoyed the Jersey shore as I do and from time to time he would phone me when he was Jersey side. So long pal, meet you in paradise. May God bless Dick real well.

Condolence From: Mary Levack Quick
Condolence: The Levack family (14 kiddos)who lived two doors east of the Dolan Family in Glens Falls during the 40s and 50s gratefully offer our prayers for Dick and the family. We always felt we 'knew' them because of their close proximity. The presence of the Dolans elevated the entire neighborhood. How well we recall the Dolan men bringing home many deer from their annual hunt in the fall. It was so fascinating to see a half-dozen or more 'antlered-creatures' strung up in their very wide garage when all the doors were open. The chief trait of the family was gentleness. Dick's track records made us so proud of him. Blessings on this wonderful family. - from one of the Levacks

Condolence From: Donna Marie Loftus
Condolence: Dear Aunt Marie, Peter, Jim & Nicholle,
Words cannot express how shocked I was to hear about Uncle Dick's death. I was flooded with so many memories: being a bridesmaid at their wedding, taking the bus to Bogota to visit and going swimming in the pool then playing pool in the basement, going tobogganing on Lake George and swimming at Montauk! So many fantastic memories!

Uncle Dick was always so patient: willing to teach you how to play a game or encourage you to try something new. I remember after all of you drove cross-country and Grandma Mastray went on the trip, she spoke of how she never thought she would ever see so much of America and how beautiful it was. Uncle Dick was so kind and will be greatly missed. But we all have another angel with a big smile and twinkling eyes watching over us from heaven and we should never forget that!

You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Love, Donna, Brian, Caitlin & Megan (Uncle Dick's favorite little Texas Cheater) :)

Condolence: We have so many memories of our favorite Uncle! We always looked forward to visiting Dick & Marie on our trip to see my parents in Gettysburg. Dick was welcoming, warm & fun! Our best memory is his big birthday bash on the boat to Manhattan for the 2000 New Years!
We remember watching that party boat get loose with that crazy music everytime we hear that song. God speed, Uncle Dick! We love you! & we pray for God to bless & strengthen Marie, Peter & Jimmy.
