JAMES E. ESTELLE, 82, of Howell Twp., NJ, passed away on Thursday, December 27, 2018, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold, NJ. He was a lifelong resident of Howell Twp.
James was employed as a Building Inspector for the Township of Howell for 20 years, prior to his retirement.
He was a volunteer firefighter and ex-chief for the Southard Fire Company, Howell Township, for 65 years.
James was a United States Army Veteran earning a Good Conduct Medal while serving his country during the Korean War.
He was predeceased by his parents, Lloyd and Eleanor Estelle; and by his brother, Jay Estelle.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Joyce Estelle; his sons, James Estelle, Jr., of Howell Twp., and Glenn Estelle, of Hagerstown, MD; his brother Lawrence R. Estelle, of N. Chelmsford, MA; his sister, Shirley Mission, of Avon, CT;, and his sister-in-law, Rose Estelle, of Culpeper, VA.
Arrangements are under the care of the GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME,
980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ. Cremation will be private. A Memorial Gathering will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. For further information and to send condolence messages to the family, please select a tab on the left.
