Robert John "Bob"  Chojnacki, Jr.
ROBERT (BOB) JOHN CHOJNACKI, JR., 52, of Jackson Twp., NJ, passed away on Friday, June 30, 2017, at NYU Langone Medical Center, New York, NY. He was born in Perth Amboy, NJ, and resided in Marlboro, NJ, before moving to Jackson 20 years ago.
Robert was employed as a lead maintenance mechanic at Worthington Biochemical Co. in Lakewood, NJ, for 10 years. Prior to that, he was an employee of Garden State Heating and Air Conditioning.
He was a communicant of St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church in Jackson. He was a member of the Jersey Shore Antique Arms Collectors' Club and was a former member of the Mallard Trap Club in Jamesburg, NJ. He was an avid lover of hunting, motorcycles, cars, pinball, and ice boating. Bob considered himself a “Jack of all Trades.” He could fix anything. He was a kind and gentle man who always made time to lend a helping hand to a friend or someone he just met. He also loved having yard sales. Bob always said he met the nicest people at our yard sales. Bob knew so much on so many different topics that he could hold a deep conversation with anyone.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Mary in 2004. He is survived by his wife of 9 years, Patrice; his son, Robert John Chojnacki, III; his parents, Robert and Carol Chojnacki, Sr.; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Larry and Toni Houlihan; his sisters-in-law, Lynn Ortiz and her husband, Steve, Ellen Harris and her husband, Larry, Rita Birardi and her husband, Tom, and Janet Babbitt and her husband, Paul; his brothers-in-law, David Houlihan and his husband, Tom Scrudato, and Robert Rider and his wife, Denise; by his nieces and nephews, Lucas, Lisa, Jerry, Tommy, AJ, Tyler, Dylan, and Annabelle; by his great nephews, Christopher, Anthony, and Vinny; and by his life-long friend, Lee Flanagan and his wife, Lisa.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his visitation on Friday, July 7, 2017, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ 08527. A funeral gathering will be offered at 8:30 AM on Saturday, July 8, 2017, at the funeral home. His Funeral Liturgy will follow at 9:30 AM at St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, 935 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson, NJ. Interment will follow in Harmony Cemetery, Harmony Rd., Jackson, NJ.
