MARYELLEN DALTON, age 69, of Jackson Twp., NJ, passed away on Friday, May 12, 2017, at Bartley Healthcare in Jackson Twp., NJ. Maryellen was born in the Bronx, NY, and had resided in Manhattan, NY, before settling in Jackson Twp. 40 years ago.
Maryellen worked for Carousel of Home Care in Freehold, NJ, as a home health aide for 25 years before retiring.
Maryellen was predeceased by her Parents, Neil and Elizabeth Doherty; her Husband, James Dalton in 2011; and by her Brother, Neil Doherty in 2014. She is survived by her Daughter, Elizabeth J. Kelly of Jackson Twp., NJ; her Grandchildren, Dalton J. Kelly and Nora Kate Kelly; her Sister, Colleen Doherty of New Egypt, NJ; and by her Brother, Paul Doherty and his Wife, Nettie of Jackson Twp., NJ. She was a beloved Godmother and Aunt.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her visitation on Monday, May 15, 2017, from 4-8 PM at the GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ. A funeral gathering will be offered on Tuesday, May 16, 2017, at 10:30 AM at the funeral home. Her Funeral Ceremony will follow at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Honey Locust Drive, Lakewood Twp., NJ.
