To know my Mom was to love her. She was the kindest person I ever met. Don't get me wrong, she was also irreverant and had a dark sense of humor. She was the kind of lady anyone could and would talk to, even people who dialled wrong numbers.
Sandy was a breast cancer survivor since 1962 and despite great pain from various ailments, she always was a trooper who never quit. She was a great dancer, a gifted craft person(think needlepoint, crewel, knitting), a terrific game player, think bridge, mah jong, canasta, black jack, and even pinball and video games.
Her capacity for compassion and love knew no equal. Although she had only me as a biological child, she cond-sidered my best friends her daughters and always called us "my girls. (That would be Char and Laura and more recently came to include Cheri and Gina).
We all called her the oracle because she knew so much and could get information out of a rock. She trained us all and we a ready to take on the mantle. I will miss her every day of my life, but she will always be with me. Once my mother and always my best firend.
I love you Mom.
