Vilma Van Ollefen (Heuser)
VILMA VAN OLLEFEN, 88, of Jackson Twp., NJ, passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2015, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune, NJ. She was born in Elizabeth, NJ, and resided in Lakewood before moving to Jackson 14 years ago.
Vilma was a Director of Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults at St. Mary of the Lake Roman Catholic Church, where she also was a Eucharistic Minister. In addition, she was a member of Soroptimist International. Vilma was a very talented artist.
She was predeceased by her parents, William and Vilma (Miklos) Heuser; by her Son, Thomas Van Ollefen in 2015; and her Husband, Stephen Glick in 2015. She is survived by her Sons, Richard Van Ollefen and his Wife, Marlene of Chicago, Il., William Van Ollefen of Fairfield, Ct., Donald Van Ollefen and his Wife, Theresa of Raleigh, NC, and Lawrence Van Ollefen and his Wife, Bernadette of Egg Harbor Twp., NJ., her Brother, Karl Heuser and his Wife, Mary of Rahway, NJ; and her Sister, Carol Kaczmarski and her Husband, Carl of Barnegat, NJ; her Grandchildren, Amy Van Ollefen, Erica Birk and her Husband John Birk, Kristen Van Ollefen, Julia Hughes and her Husband Patrick Hughes, Samantha Van Ollefen, Jake Van Ollefen, Jarrett Van Ollefen, Tyler Van Ollefen, and David Van Ollefen.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her visitation on Tuesday, August 18, 2015, from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at the GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ 08527. A funeral gathering will be offered on Wednesday, August 19, 2015, at 10:45 AM at the funeral home. Her Funeral Liturgy will follow at 12 Noon at St. Mary of the Lake Roman Catholic Church, 43 Madison Ave., Lakewood, NJ 08701. Entombment will follow in St. Mary of the Lake Cemetery, 1 Honey Locust Dr., Lakewood, NJ.
