Obituary for Carl Kliemisch

CARL KLIEMISCH, 74, of Jackson Twp., NJ passed away on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at CentraState Medical Center in Freehold Twp., NJ. Carl was born in Englewood, NJ, had resided in Dumont, NJ before settling here 10 years ago.
Carl was a produce clerk for the Pathmark Grocery Store in Hackensack, NJ for over 10 years, retiring in 2010.
Carl was a devout Catholic and was known to watch on-line daily Mass at St. Aloysius R.C. Church in Jackson Twp., where he was also active with the St. Vincent de Paul Society. In addition, he always looked forward to the Holidays, rooted for the New York Yankees and Giants, was an avid bowler, loved all kinds of animals, especially birds, and enjoyed gardening.
Carl was a former member of the Knights of Columbus Council in Cresskill, NJ and a current member of the Knights of Columbus Council 4201 in Jackson Twp.
He was predeceased by his parents, Otto and Veronica Kliemisch, his sister, Veronica Kruse and by his brother, Donald Kliemisch. Carl is survived by his beloved siblings, Art Kliemisch of Jackson Twp., Geri Collenburg of Saylorsburg, PA, Roger Kliemisch of Manchester Twp., and Julie Mullins of Emerson, NJ; his many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces & great nephews: his numerous caring neighbors; and by his loyal canine companion, Buddy.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his visitation on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 from 3-7 PM at The GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ. A funeral gathering will be offered on Thursday, December 14, 2023 at 8:30 AM at the funeral home. His Funeral Liturgy will follow at 9:30 AM at St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, 935 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ. Interment will follow in George Washington Memorial Park, 234 Paramus Rd., Paramus, NJ 07653. If so desired, memorial contributions may be made in the memory of Carl to the St. Vincent de Paul Society at St. Aloysius R.C. Church or to the Northern Ocean County Animal Shelter, 615 Freemont Ave., Jackson Twp., NJ 08527.
