Obituary for Marjorie Lucy Herrmann (Modarelli)
MARJORIE LUCY HERRMANN, 77, of Jackson Twp., NJ, passed away on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at Monmouth Medical Center, Southern Campus, Lakewood Twp., NJ. She was born in Hoboken, NJ, and resided in Union City, NJ, prior to settling in Jackson Twp., 52 years ago.
Marjorie was a 1967 graduate of the College of Steubenville, receiving her Bachelor of Education. Marjorie was an educator for over 40 years, teaching at St. Mary’s Academy in Lakewood, NJ, and St. Peter’s Grade School, Pt. Pleasant Beach, NJ, prior to her retirement in 2008.
Marjorie was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Margaret Modarelli. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Paul F. Herrmann; her son, Paul J. Herrman and his wife, Sue; her daughters, Kristen Reuter and her husband Steve, and Amy Reinhart and her husband, Kevin; and by her 8 grandchildren, Justin, Madelyn, Joshua, Megan, Benjamin, Matthew, Paige, and Abigail.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her visitation from 3-8 PM on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at the GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ 08527. A funeral gathering will be offered at 9 AM on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at the funeral home. Her Funeral Liturgy will follow at 10 AM at St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, 935 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp. A private cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions be made in Marjorie’s memory to the Arthritis Foundation, www.arthritis.org, and would be greatly appreciated.
