Obituary for Thomas "Mickey" Schwindt
THOMAS E. SCHWINDT, “Mickey” 84, of Manchester Twp., NJ, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 26, 2023, at home. He was born in Newark, NJ, and resided in Keyport, NJ, prior to settling in Manchester Twp., 20 years ago.
Thomas was employed as a plumber with Plumbers Local 24 for 44 years, prior to his retirement in 2001.
He loved fishing, crabbing and baseball, spending 13 years as an usher for the Lakewood Blueclaws. Thomas was actively involved in the Keyport Youth Athletic League, serving as president.
He is survived by his daughter, Karen Ryan and her husband, Thomas; and by his 2 grandchildren, Sean Ryan and Shannon Ryan.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his visitation from 2-5 PM on Sunday, January 29, 2023, at the George S. Hassler Funeral Home, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ 08527. A funeral gathering will be offered at 9 AM with his Funeral Service to follow at 9:30 AM on Monday, January 30, 2023, at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery, 100 Chapel Hill Rd., Middletown, NJ 07701.
