EDWARD ROBERT MILLWARD, 84, of Jackson Twp., NJ, passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2022, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold, NJ. He was born in North Bergen, NJ, and resided in Freehold Twp., NJ, prior to settling in Jackson Twp., 31 years ago.
Edward was a United States Veteran, proudly serving as a Private in the Army National Guard.
Prior to his retirement, Edward was employed as a custodian with the Freehold Township Board of Education.
Edward was a member of the Ocean County Baptist Church.
He enjoyed yardwork, housework, history books, coffee, and cars.
Edward was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Mamie Millward; his brothers, Robert Millward, and Herbert Allen Millward; and by his sister, Lorrine Collins. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Carole Millward; his son, Dr. Edward Michael Millward and his wife, Carolyn of Cream Ridge, NJ; his daughter, Laurie Hunter and his son in law, Linert Freeman, Jr. of Iselin, NJ; h grandchildren, Jessica Hunter, Michelle Hunter, Meghan Hunter, Nicholas Freeman, Christian Millward and Brian Millward; his great grandson, Elijah James Sneyers; and by his sisters, Virginia Strickland of Cape Coral Florida, Joan Fazio of Manahawkin, NJ, and Jean DeTitta of Rutherford, NJ.
