Obituary for Vincent Carlesi
VINCENT ANTHONY CARLESI, 89, of Jackson Twp., NJ, passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2022, at home. He was born in Brooklyn, NY, and resided there prior to settling in Jackson Twp., 22 years ago.
Vincent was a proud United States Veteran, serving in the Army during the Korean War.
Prior to his retirement, he was the owner of Professional Sports Camps, Jackson Twp., NJ, for 42 years.
He was the communicant of St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, Jackson Twp., NJ.
Vincent was predeceased by his parents, Vincent and Yolanda Carlesi; and by his brother and his wife, John and Concetta Carlesi. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Theresa Carlesi of Jackson Twp., NJ; his daughters, Karen Gaske and her husband, Greg of Staten Island, NY, and Denise Konop and her husband, Keith of Red Bank, NJ; his son, Vincent Carlesi and his wife, Linda of Hoboken, NJ; his grandchildren, Nicole Bannon, Gregory Gaske, Brittany Bonamo, Justene Karcz, Dale Konop, and Vincent Carlesi; and by his great granddaughters, Callie Bannon, Cayden Bannon, and Adriana Gaske.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his visitation from 4-8 PM on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at the GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ 08527. A funeral gathering will be offered at 9 AM on Thursday, December 29, 2022, at the funeral home. His Funeral Liturgy will follow at 10 AM at St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, 935 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, 500 25th St., Brooklyn, NY 11232. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Vincent’s memory to the Sparta Community Food Pantry, PO Box 867, Sparta, NJ, 07871 and would be greatly appreciated.
