VITO GEORGE MATRANGA, 89, of Jackson Twp., NJ, passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2022, at home. He was born in Palermo, Italy, and resided in Manchester Twp., NJ, prior to settling in Jackson Twp., 5 years ago.
Prior to his retirement, Vito was employed as a presser for Classy Cleaners, Lakewood, NJ.
He was a communicant of St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, Jackson Twp., NJ.
Vito was predeceased by his parents, Giorgio and Rosaria Matranga; his brother, Saverio Matranga; and by his wife, Concetta Matranga in 2017. He is survived by his daughters, Rose Malizia and her husband, Frank, Anna Brannigan and her husband, Martin, and Maria Sienkiewicz and her husband, Dave; his 5 grandchildren, Christopher, Frank, David, Luke, and Ryan; and by his 2 great grandchildren, Liam and Mason.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his visitation from 4-8 PM on Monday, December 19, 2022, at the GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ 08527. His Funeral Liturgy will be offered at 10 AM on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, 935 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ. Please gather at 9:45 AM at the church. Entombment will follow in St Mary’s Cemetery, 1 Honey Locust Dr., Lakewood, NJ 08701.
