Obituary for Mary Denise Finn (Burton)

MARY DENISE FINN, 76, of Absecon, NJ, passed away peacefully Saturday, September 24, 2022, at her home. Born and raised in Elizabeth, NJ, she moved to Old Bridge, NJ prior to retiring to Absecon 10 years ago.
Mary was a school bus driver for the Old Bridge Township Board of Education for 23 years prior to her retirement.
She was devoted to her church, The Church of St. Veronica in Howell Twp., NJ, and was a “Eucharistic Minister” and “Lecturer”.
Mary loved going to the beach that she made her “Happy Place”, where she spent many vacations with her husband, children, and grandchildren. Mary was a big fan of Disney, and she was blessed to have made several trips there with her beloved husband Bill and included her grandchildren on some of those trips. Mary loved going to the “Glaser Pool” where she spent countless hours enjoying her grandchildren when they were growing up. Family events like birthdays, holidays, graduations, and simple gatherings meant the world to her.
Mary was predeceased by her parents, Walter and Marie Burton; her brother, Johnny; her sister, Jeannie McCauley; her brothers-in-law, Robert, Joseph and Johnny; her sisters-in-law, Margie and Janice; a grandson, Ryan McClintock; and her mother-in-law Rose. Surviving is her devoted and loving husband of 38 years, William Finn; her son, William Petrusky and his wife, Barbara of Old Bridge; her daughters, Denise Glaser and her husband, Michael of Jackson Twp., and Victoria McClintock of Millville, NJ; her sisters Kathy Drescher and her husband, James of GA, and Marie McCauley of Toms River, NJ; 9 grandchildren Branden, Dylan & Vanessa Glaser, Noelle Petrusky, Jeff Mullins, Stephanie McClintock and her partner Jessica, Christopher McClintock and wife Dana, and Olivia Francesco; 2 great grandchildren Connor & Mischa McClintock; her sisters-in-law, Rosie, Adele, Helen, MaryAnne, Cathy and Alice: her many nieces and nephews; and by her dog, “Minnie” who didn’t leave her side.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her visitation from 4-8 PM, on Friday, September 30, 2022, at the GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ. A funeral gathering will be offered at 9 AM on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at the funeral home. Her Funeral Liturgy will follow at 10 AM , at The Church of St. Veronica, 2451 Route 9, Howell Twp., NJ.
