Obituary for Connie Giammona (Pompane)
CONCETTA “CONNIE” GIAMMONA, 96, loving wife of the late Tony, passed into God’s hands on Saturday, August 27, 2022.
Connie was the beloved mother of Vivian (Anthony), Madeline, and Toni Ann (Tom). She was the adored grandmother of Vanessa (Tom), Anthony (Monika), Jenna (Stephen), Lauren, Ashley and Brittany. Dear great-grandmother of T.J., Jason, Alexis, Franklyn, Skylar, Jax, Oliver and Grayson. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and their families.
Connie began her career as a hat model in New York. After raising her family, she became employed as a paraprofessional at PS 312, Brooklyn, NY, working with underprivileged youth.
Connie was dedicated to her family, creating a warm and welcoming home environment, and was a lifelong member of the Roman Catholic Church.
She will be missed by her family, friends and all those whose lives she touched.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her visitation from 2-8 PM, on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at the GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ. A funeral gathering will be offered at 9 AM, on Thursday, September 1, 2022, at the funeral home. Her Funeral Liturgy will follow at 10 AM, at St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, 935 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ. Interment will follow in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Provinceline Rd., Arneytown, NJ 08562. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Connie’s memory to the charity of your choice and would be greatly appreciated.
