Obituary for Wendy Ann Harrington
Wendy Ann Harrington, age 75, of Berkeley Township, NJ passed away peacefully on May 11, 2022, at her daughter’s home in Eastampton, NJ surrounded by her family.
Wendy was born on July 12, 1946, in Freeport, NY to Frank and Dorothy Gregor. She also was raised in Freeport.
On September 7, 1968, she married David Harrington and they were married for 53 years before she lost him in January 2022.
In 1970 she and David moved to Jackson Twp., NJ where they raised their 3 daughters. Wendy was a stay-at-home mom, who was a PTA member, Girl Scout leader, Soccer Mom and Taxi driver to her 3 girls. Wendy loved children so much that she watched two children, Mathew and Karyn, who were still in her life to the end.
In the 1990’s Wendy stared a successful business, Hezz country décor, where she loved to make floral arrangements. In 2002 Wendy went to work at Children’s World where she stared part-time then went to full-time until she retired and moved to Berkeley Twp. in 2005.
Wendy lived for her children and grandchildren, Cole, Chase, Emma and Jack.
Wendy is survived by her 3 daughters, Heather Riccardi and her husband, Guy of Browns Mills NJ, Jennifer Olejarz and her husband, Wayne of Jackson Twp., NJ and Shannon Tucker and her husband, Troy of Eastampton , NJ; and by her grandchildren, Cole Olejarz, Chase Olejarz, Emma Tucker and Jack Tucker.
Funeral services for both Wendy and David Harrington will be offered on Friday, June 3, 2022 at 10:30 AM in The Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Provinceline Rd., Arneytown, NJ. Arrangements have been entrusted to The George S. Hassler Funeral Home in Jackson Twp., NJ.
