Obituary for Christine Bligh (Xuereb)

CHRISTINE BLIGH, 75, of Jackson Twp., NJ, passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2022, at home. She was born in New York City, NY, and resided in Brooklyn, NY and Manalapan, NJ, prior to settling in Jackson Twp., 16 years ago.
Christine was employed as a secretary for First Investors, Woodbridge, NJ, for 3 years, prior to her retirement in 2005. Prior to that she was employed by Citibank, NYC, NY and Chartwells, Manalapan.
She was a communicant of St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, Jackson Twp. Christine was a volunteer for St. Vincent DePaul, and was a Eucharistic minister and consolation minister.
Christine enjoyed playing cards, especially poker and MahJong. She was a volunteer at WAGS.
She was predeceased by her parents, Paul and Adeline Xuereb; her sister, Nancy Kulik; and by her brothers-in-law, Ray Kulik, Ronald Zammit, and Edward Bligh. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, John Bligh; her son, Daniel Bligh and his wife, Nicole of Malvern, PA; her daughter, Laura Bligh of Jackson Twp.; her grandchildren, Liam, Andy, and Henry; her brother,
Fred Xuereb and his wife, Jeannie of Staten Island, NY; her sister, Elizabeth Zammit of Brick Twp., NJ; her brother-in-law, James Bligh and his wife, Marge of PA; and by her nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her visitation from 4-8 PM, on
Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at the GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ. A funeral gathering will be offered at 9 AM on Thursday, May 12, 2022, at the funeral home. Her Funeral Liturgy will follow at 10 AM, at St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, 935 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be may in Christine’s memory to St. Vincent dePaul Society of St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, 935 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ 08527, and would be greatly appreciated.
