Obituary for John Sebastiano Fariello

JOHN SEBASTIANO FARIELLO, 79, of Jackson Twp., NJ, passed away on Monday, June 21, 2021, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune, NJ. He was born in Brooklyn, NY, and resided in Jackson Twp., for 35 years.
John was a United States Veteran serving in the Army during the Vietnam War and earning the Sharpshooter Badge.
He was the owner of the Cassville Tavern, Jackson Twp., for 49 years. Prior to that, John worked at Fort Dix, Lakehurst, NJ, and was the manager of Gerfen’s Tavern, Jackson Twp.
John supported numerous organizations, including the Local PBA, several veterans’, and civic groups to name just a few. But most of all, John loved his family and they loved him.
John was predeceased by his parents, John, and Grace Fariello. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Marilyn R. Fariello; his son, Alexander John Fariello and his wife, Laurie Murphy; his grandson, James Fariello; and by his brother, Frank Fariello.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his visitation from 2-6 PM with his Funeral Service at 6 PM on Saturday, June 26, 2021, at the GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ 08527. A private cremation will follow. As per the funeral home policy, attendance guidelines will be followed, and face masks are required for all services.
