Obituary for Stacy Maria Redish

STACY MARIA REDISH, 56, of Hamilton Twp., NJ, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 16, 2021, at Capital Health Medical Center, Pennington, NJ. She was born in Columbus, GA, and resided in Howell Twp., NJ, prior to settling in Hamilton Twp., 3 months ago.
Stacy was a graduate of Michigan State University and worked in the behavioral health and residential services field. She started her career at CPC where she spent 24 years. Stacy started her employment at Community Access Unlimited in April of 2019 as an Assistant Executive Director. Stacy dedicated her 30 year career to supporting individuals with disabilities and adolescents. She was a supervisor that supported her staff and was devoted to the members she worked with. She was described by her peers as being the bright light in the room. She was passionate about helping the underserved. From a young girl, if there was an injured animal, she wanted to help. If someone was left out of a kickball game, she included them. If someone, somehow was disadvantaged she devoted her life. She always rooted and supported the underdog, unless of course that underdog was Michigan or Ohio State. Then (of course) the polls got it wrong. Big Ten rivalry runs deep in our family. Stacy had a great sense of humor and with that was recognized by all.
Stacy was a devoted and loving mother, daughter and sister. Her life changed forever the day her daughter Lexi arrived. Her life became about her daughter, and she gave her everything when it came to being an unparalleled role model. Stacy showed her (and all of us) in countless ways how to live life with grace and strength, with kindness and compassion for others.
She will be forever missed by her loved ones, yet her spirit will live on in all who knew and loved her infinitely. Stacy is survived by her loving family; her daughter, Alexis “Lexi” Maria Redish of Hamilton Twp., NJ; her parents, Stephen, Jr., and Diana D. Redish of Jackson Twp., NJ; her sister Stephanie Redish Hofmann and her husband, Richard of Jersey City, NJ; her nephew, Stephen “Cooper” Hofmann; and by her niece, Emerson Elle “Ellie” Hofmann.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her visitation from 1-5 PM on Sunday, June 20, 2021, at the GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson, Twp., NJ 08527.
