Obituary for Paul Hein

PAUL HEIN, 89, of Jackson Twp., NJ, passed away on Saturday, March 27, 2021, at Ocean Medical Center, Brick Twp., NJ. He was born in Long Branch, NJ, and resided in Howell Twp., NJ, prior to settling in Jackson Twp., 61 years ago.
Paul owned and operated Paul Hein and Sons Heating & HVAC for many years, prior to his retirement in 2002.
He was an exempt fire chief with Southard Fire Company, Howell Twp., and a charter and life member of the Howell Twp. First Aid & Rescue Squad.
Paul was a founding member and communicant of The Church of St. Veronica, Howell Twp. Above all, he was a cherished husband, devoted father, beloved grandfather and a loving brother.
He was predeceased by his parents, Charles, and Margaret Hein; his son, Paul Hein, his son-in-law, John Holland, Jr. and by his 4 siblings. Paul is survived by his wife, Margaret “Peg” Hein; his son, Timothy Hein and his wife, Laurie of Advance, NC; his daughters, Margaret “Peggy” Riegert and her husband, Kevin of Little Egg Harbor Twp., NJ, and Susan Holland of Toms River Twp., NJ; his grandchildren, Ryan Riegert, Matthew Riegert and his wife, Cecilia, Riley Hein, Cassidy Hein, Jordan Hein, Griffin Holland, Jack Holland, Patrick Holland, and Dayana Holland; and by his numerous nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his visitation on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 from 4-7 PM at The GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ. A funeral gathering will be offered on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at 8:15 AM at the funeral home. His Funeral Liturgy will follow at 9:30 AM at The Church of St. Veronica, 4215 Route 9 North, Howell Twp., NJ. Interment will follow in St. Rose of Lima Catholic Cemetery, 299 Freehold-Englishtown Rd., Freehold, NJ. CDC attendance guidelines will be followed and face masks are required for all services.
