NORMA MAURO, 94, of Howell Twp., NJ, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 16, 2021, at home. She was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, and resided in Inverness, FL, prior to settling in Howell Twp., 6 months ago.
Norma was employed with Bankers Trust, New York, NY, working in Human Resources, retiring in 1987.
She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph & Mary Longo. Norma is survived by her husband of 73 years, Philip Mauro; her daughter, Phyllis Avino and her husband, Vincent; her 3 grandchildren, Lisa and her husband, Joseph, Joseph and his wife, Karen, and Danielle and her husband, Roy; and by her 8 great grandchildren, Joseph, Jenna, Alyssa, Michael, Addison, Dominic, Natalie, and Lia.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her visitation from 9:30-10:30 AM on Saturday, March 20, 2021, at the GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ 08527. Her Funeral Liturgy will follow at 11:00 AM at St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, 935 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ. Entombment will follow in St. Gabriel’s Cemetery, 549 Rt 520, Marlboro, NJ 07746. CDC attendance guidelines will be followed, and face masks are required for all services.
