Obituary for Vincent Tocci

VINCENT TOCCI, 87, of Jackson Twp., NJ, passed away on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at The Manor, Freehold, NJ. He was born in New York, NY and resided in Brooklyn, NY, prior to settling in Jackson Twp., 21 years ago.
Vincent was a United States Veteran, proudly serving in the Army.
He worked as a cabinet maker for almost 35 years and was employed as a carpenter for NYC Transit Authority for 10 years, prior to his retirement.
He enjoyed taking trips to Atlantic City with his wife, Irene and spending time with his grandchildren. He was an avid pool player and played on the bocce team at Winding Ways.
Vincent was predeceased by his parents, Vincenzo, and Antoinette Tocci; and by his brothers and sisters, Dominick Tocci, Anna Tocci, Isabelle Tocci, Josephine Scarsella, Vito Tocci, Anthony Tocci, and Carmela Tocci. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Irene Tocci; his children, Helen Asta and her husband, Frank of Delray Beach, FL, Theresa Cifardi and her husband, Thomas of Brooklyn, NY, Angela DeLuca and her husband, Vincent of Manalapan, NJ, and Vincent J. Tocci and his wife, Rebecca of Pawling, NY; his grandchildren, Anthony, Alexandra, Victoria, Kathryn, Jessica, Lauren, and Alice; and by his sister, Jeanette Tocci of Brooklyn, NY.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his visitation from 4-8 PM on Friday, November 27, 2020, at the GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ. A funeral gathering will be offered at 9 AM on Saturday, November 28, 2020, at the funeral home. His funeral liturgy will follow at 10 AM at St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, 935 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ. Entombment will follow in St. Gabriel’s Cemetery, 549 County Rd. 520, Marlboro, NJ 07746. CDC attendance guidelines will be followed, and face masks are required for all services.
