Obituary for John "Jack" P. Dotts
JOHN ‘JACK’ P. DOTTS, 79, of Lakewood Twp., NJ passed away on Friday, November 20, 2020 at his home. Jack was born on November 29, 1940 in Coalport, PA, settling in Lakewood Twp. in 1973, where he and his wife raised their family.
Jack worked for Merck Pharmaceuticals in Kenilworth, NJ as a package line mechanic for many years before retiring.
Mr. Dotts served in the United States Marine Corps. and was honorably discharged as a Lance Corporal.
He enjoyed following the stock market and doing things around the house and yard. He really took pride in way he kept his lawn and his Pittsburgh Steelers!
Jack was predeceased by his parents, Ferdinand and Buelah Dotts, his siblings, Ferdinand Dotts, Jr., Ethel (Til) and Donovan Dotts and by the love of his life Judith “Judy” Dotts in July of 2020. Jack and Judy celebrated their 58th Anniversary in June. He is survived by his loving daughters, Jodi Dotts of Lakewood Twp. and Cheryl Dotts-Garcia and her husband, Omar of North Brunswick, NJ; his grandchildren, He was Pup Pup to Samantha and Justin Garcia and always looked forward to visiting with them and they loved hearing his crazy Pup Pup stories; his siblings, Virginia (Sue) Miller of New Bern, NC, Thomas and his wife, Patricia of Mentor, OH, Phyllis Owen of Titusville, FL and Frances Grimes and her husband, James of Irvona, PA; his brother-in-law, John Ruffaner and his wife, Paulette Irvona and by his many nieces and nephews.
