Obituary for Madeleine McGrouther (Murray)
MADELEINE McGROUTHER, 78, of Jackson Twp., NJ, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 16, 2020, at home. She was born in Glasgow, Scotland, and resided in Jackson Twp., for the past 45 years.
Madeleine was employed as a Rural Mail Carrier for the United States Post Office, Jackson Twp., NJ, retiring in 2002, after 16 years of service.
She was a communicant of St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, Jackson Twp., NJ.
Madeleine was predeceased by her husband, John McGrouther and by her sister and brother-in-law, Frances and John Steeves. She is survived by her sons, Alan McGrouther and his wife, Evgeniya of Jackson Twp., and Kenneth McGrouther of Charlotte, NC; her daughter, Sharon Cinquegrana and her husband, Jonathan of Jackson Twp.; her 3 granddaughters, Fiona, Claire, and Sophie Cinquegrana of Jackson Twp.; her sisters, Sheila Munson of Virginia, Diane Holtan of Florida, and Sandra Johnson and her husband, Les of Scotland; and by her brother, Alan Murray and his wife, Maureen of Scotland.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her Funeral Liturgy at 10:30 AM on Monday, November 23, 2020, at St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, 935 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ. Please gather at 10:15 AM at the church. A private cremation will follow. CDC Attendance guidelines will be followed, and face masks are required for all services. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Madeleine’s memory to the American Parkinson Disease Association, NJ Chapter, PO Box 910, New Brunswick, NJ 08903 and would be greatly appreciated.
