Obituary for Catherine Joyce Santangelo (Zarra)
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of CATHERINE “JOYCE” SANTANGELO, of Manchester Twp., NJ, on Thursday, October 15, 2020 at age 83.
Her life was dedicated to her family first and foremost, and to the many friends she had, she was a true friend. Catherine “Joyce” was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Lawrence Santangelo, parents Julius and Margaret Zarra, and by her son, Christopher Santangelo. She is survived by her loving son, Larry Santangelo and his wife, Debra, Mark Santangelo, Gregory Santangelo, and John Stefan; cherished grandmother of 10 grandchildren, Michael, Anthony, Nicole, Alexandra, Vincent, Christopher, Dario, Nicholas, Lawrence and Dominic; her great-grandchildren, Luke, Max, Rhys, Leo, and Gabriel; and by her dear sister, Lorain Callahan and her husband, Jim. She will always be remembered for the way she loved and adored her family.
Arrangements are under the care of the GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson, NJ. A Memorial Mass will be offered at 10 AM on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine, 61 Georgia Rd., Freehold, NJ. Please gather at the church at 9:45 AM. Inurnment will follow in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Provinceline Rd., Arneytown, NJ. CDC attendance guidelines will be followed and face masks are required for all services.
