Obituary for Anna Meyer

The world is a little bit poorer today with the loss of Ann Meyer. She was born September 8, 1927 in Brooklyn, NY and passed away on September 4, 2020 in Jackson, NJ.
Just days from her 93rd birthday, Ann has left this world and moved on to eternal peace, and reunion with her husband of 61 years, Bill. She leaves behind her four beloved children and their spouses, six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and her wonderful sister Rose. She has left a long legacy of devotion to her family & friends, unfailing love, and a life full of faith.
Joyful to meet her Lord and Savior, Jesus, face to face, Ann is now finally home in God's Kingdom. Ann was faithful until the last, and always encouraging others to trust in God. Her tireless life of faith is celebrated and carried on by her children and grandchildren.
Ann resided in New York, Illinois, Marlboro NJ, and Manchester NJ before moving to Sunrise Assisted Living in Jackson. Fiercely independent, Ann was wheelchair-bound for the past 10 years and still insisted on doing everything for herself. She was strong both physically and mentally and shared her wisdom and strength with everyone around her. She enjoyed writing life stories, beading, bible study, and most importantly, being with her family.
Every time the family would gather, she made sure to share a few special moments with each of us. She would hold your hand and tell you how proud she was of you, how much she loved you, and how you should have a piece of fruit because it was good for you. She was a kind and thoughtful woman, always available to lend a sympathetic ear.
While she is sorely missed, her family still finds great joy in the face of sadness, that the earthly chains of physical aches and illness can no longer hold her down. She can now walk hand in hand with family that passed before her, in a place where pain is gone and forgotten, and every last tear has been wiped away.
Until we meet again, Ann, we all thank you for the example you set. You taught us to lead a life filled with strength, values, faith, and most importantly, love.
