Obituary for Nickie James Sholar
NICKIE JAMES SHOLAR, 71, of Jackson Twp., NJ, passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2020, at Ocean Medical Center, Brick, NJ. He was born in Rose Hill, NC, and resided there briefly, before moving to NJ and eventually to Jackson Twp., 40 years ago.
He was a United States Army Veteran and served during the Vietnam War, earning the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.
Nickie was employed as a truck driver for Republic Services of New Jersey, Marpal Disposal Division, Tinton Falls, NJ, for more than 30 years prior to his retirement.
He was predeceased by his parents, Alvin, and Dolores Sholar; and by his brothers, Steven Sholar and John Sholar. Nickie is survived by his wife of 36 years, Kathy Sholar of Jackson Twp.; his daughter, Nikki Sholar of Wappinger Falls, NY; his sons, Jeffrey Sholar of Jackson Twp., and Steven Sholar of Lakewood, NJ; and by his 3 grandchildren.
