Obituary for Albert J. D'Angelo

ALBERT J. D’ANGELO, 96, of Jackson Twp., NJ, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 12, 2020, at home. He was born in Brooklyn, NY, and resided there until settling in Jackson Twp., 20 years ago.
Albert was a proud United States Army Veteran, serving as a Cannoneer during WWII, achieving the rank of Private First Class, and earning the American Service Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, WWII Victory Medal, and most notably, A Purple Heart.
Prior to his retirement, Albert worked as a self-employed interior decorator in Brooklyn, NY.
He was a member of the American Legion Post #504, Jackson Twp.
Albert is survived by his wife of 73 years, Frances D’Angelo of Jackson Twp.; his daughters, Rose Ann D’Angelo and Herb Reiss of Brooklyn, NY, and Patricia Romeo of Sun Lakes, AZ; his son, Joseph D’Angelo of Jackson Twp.; his 3 grandchildren; and by his 3 great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his Funeral Liturgy at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, June 17, 2020, at St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, 935 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp. A private interment will follow. CDC attendance guidelines will be followed and face masks are required. Arrangements are under the care of the GEORGE S.
