MARIA M. BERNARDI, 75, of Jackson Twp., NJ, passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2020, at Bartley Healthcare, Jackson Twp. She was born in Cayey, Puerto Rico, and resided in Basking Ridge, NJ, prior to settling in Jackson Twp., 3 years ago.
Maria was employed as a Registered Nurse for the Veterans Administration at the East Orange VA Hospital, East Orange, NJ, for 30 years prior to her retirement.
She is survived by her sons, Diego Garcia and his fiancé, Diana of Burlington, NJ, Jose Garcia and his wife, Crissie of Alexander City, AL, and Ricardo Garcia and Stefanie of Burlington, NJ; her 10 grandchildren, Tatiana, Santiago, Michael, Christian, Justin, Bransley, Carissa, Kevin, Olivia, and Aiden; and by her brothers, David Bernardy of Puerto Rico, Carmen Bernardy of Puerto Rico, Victor Bernardy of Kissimmee, FL, and Luis Bernardy of Puerto Rico.
Due to the CDC guidelines pertaining to the COVID-19 pandemic, funeral arrangements are private and under the care of the GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson, NJ.
