Obituary for Sonja Wilson
SONJA WILSON, 77, of Whiting, NJ, passed away on Friday, March 27, 2020, at Community Medical Center, Toms River, NJ. She was born in Brooklyn, NY, and resided in Jackson Twp., NJ for 30 years, prior to settling in Whiting, 15 years ago.
Sonja was employed as a supervisor for Six Flags, Jackson Twp. for 20 years, prior to her retirement in 2017. Prior to that she a bank officer for Garden State Bank, Jackson, NJ.
She was predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Carrie Larsen; and by her husband, George Albert Wilson in 2012. She is survived by her daughter, Christine Mondello and her husband, Michael of Jackson Twp.; her son, Wayne Wilson and his wife, Eileen of Farmingville, NY; her grandchildren, Michael and Danielle Mondello, Max Mondello, Christopher Mondello, Brittany and Jim Dougher, Kyle and Brenna Wilson, Tim Wilson, and Ashley Wilson; her great grandchildren, Madison, Michael and Addison; her sister Dorothy Scotto and her husband, Joe of Sayreville, NJ; and by her nieces and nephews.
Due to the current CDC guidelines pertaining to coronavirus, arrangements are private and under the care of the GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ.
