JOHN PATRICK FITZGERALD, 83, of Jackson Twp., NJ, passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2019, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold, NJ. He was born in Sydney, Australia, and resided in Ridgewood, NJ, prior to settling in Jackson Twp., 13 years ago.
John was employed as the CEO of DLTaffner Entertainment, LTD, New York, NY, retiring in 2016, after more than 50 years of employment.
He was a communicant of St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, Jackson Twp., NJ.
John was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Ena Fitzgerald; his brother, Brian Fitzgerald; and by his nephew, Dennis Kelly. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Virginia Fitzgerald of Jackson Twp.; his son, Christopher Fitzgerald of Ridgewood, NJ; his daughters, Kerri Carlin and her husband, Joshua of Portsmouth, RI, and Lauren Fitzgerald and John Rogers of Deep River, CT; his grandchildren, Brigid, Luke, Daniel, and Mary Carlin of Portsmouth, RI, and Olivia, Keira, and Maeve Fitzgerald of Ridgewood, NJ; his sister, Margaret Fitzgerald, R.S.C., Sydney, Australia; his sisters-in-law, Bernice Fitzgerald of Sydney, Australia, and Dianne Kelly and her husband, Dennis of Ramsey, NJ; and by his nieces and nephews, Jane Fitzgerald, and Jennifer and Michael Kelly.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his visitation from 4-8 PM on Friday, November 29, 2019, at the GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ 08527. A funeral gathering will be offered at 9:30 AM on Saturday, November 30, 2019, at the funeral home. His Funeral Liturgy will follow at 10:30 AM at St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, 935 Bennetts mills Rd., Jackson Twp. A private cremation will follow.
