Obituary for Warren A. Lavin
WARREN A. LAVIN, 86, of Jackson Twp., NJ, passed away on Wednesday, October 2, 2019, at home. He was born in Union City, NJ, and resided in North Bergen, NJ, prior to settling in Jackson Twp., 47 years ago.
Warren was a United States Navy Veteran, serving during the Korean War, and received the National Defense Service Medal.
He was employed as a clerk for 7-11, Jackson Twp., for 18 years prior to his retirement.
Warren was a family man, and a former racing horse trainer. He was an avid NY Giants, Yankee, and Ranger fan.
He was predeceased by his parents, James and Marion Lavin and by his son-in-law, Michael Lynch. Warren is survived by his Wife of 57 years, Ardell V. Lavin; his sons, Michael Lavin and his wife, Jackie, and Kenneth Lavin; his daughters, Loriann Foggiano and her husband, Ron, Cherlyn Taylor and her husband, George, Kathleen Nesbitt and her husband, Bill, Kerry Hull and her husband, Kevin, Eileen Lynch, Kelly Barth and her husband, Gene, and Veronica Anderson and her husband, David; his 19 grandchildren; his 11 great grandchildren with two on the way; his sister, Joan Matthias; and his brother, Donald Lavin.
Cremation was private and under the direction of the GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ. His Funeral Liturgy will be offered at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 15, 2019, at St. Barnabas Roman Catholic Church, 33 Woodland Rd., Bayville, NJ 08721.
