Obituary for Thomas Hedderman

THOMAS J. HEDDERMAN, 53, lost his battle with pancreatic cancer on September 27, 2019. Thomas was an Inspector for Terminix, Trenton, NJ and a lifelong resident of Jackson, NJ. Thomas was born on April 23, 1966, in Elmhurst, New York, and has been a resident of Jackson since 1968.
Thomas is predeceased by his parents, Martin J. and Frances A. Hedderman. A devoted father, he is survived by his sons Nicholas and Joseph, and his daughter, Tanya, all of Jackson. Tom’s children were the light of his life – he adored them and cherished every minute he spent with them. Thomas is also survived by his two brothers, Martin and William of Jackson; his three sisters, Kathleen Hedderman of Toms River, Mary Higgins of Jackson and Maureen Taylor of Toms River, as well as six nephews and a niece; his loving soulmate, Allison Renn of Jackson; his best friend, Michael Stoddard, many aunts, uncles and cousins throughout the country; his kitty Boo and his extended Corner family.
Tom was an avid sports fan; his favorite teams were the New York Rangers, the New York Yankees and the San Francisco 49ers. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR and golf. He attended many live sporting events, enthusiastically cheering on his teams.
Tom loved rock music as well as attending Broadway plays. He had a wide range of musical interests and shared his love of music with friends and family. Tom’s huge smile and optimistic spirit brought great joy to all who knew him, and he will be dearly missed.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his visitation from 3-7 PM on Tuesday, October 1, 2019, at the GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ. A funeral gathering will be offered at 8:15 AM on Wednesday, October 2, 2019, at the funeral home. His Funeral Liturgy will follow at 9:30 AM at the Church of St. Veronica, 4215 Rt. 9 North, Howell, NY 07731. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, 1 Honey Locust Dr., Lakewood, NJ 08701.
