Obituary for Uldis Cirulis

ULDIS CIRULIS, age 90, of Jackson Twp., NJ passed away on Friday, August 2, 2019 at Monmouth Medical Center, Southern Campus in Lakewood Twp. Uldis was born in Riga, Latvia settling in Jackson Twp., many years ago.
He worked for the Bayer Corporation in Orangeburg, NY as an electrical engineer for 50 years, retiring in 2004.
Uldis proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War and received the Korean Service Medal w/2 Bronze Service Stars, the United Nations Service Medal and the Combat Infantry Badge.
He was predeceased by his parents, Ansis and Sofija Cirulis; and by his brothers, Aivars and Oiars. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Xenia; his son, Alex Cirulis and his wife, Chi Hoang of Jackson Twp; his daughter, Anna Taylor of Jackson Twp.; and by his grandchildren, Sam Cirulis and her partner, August Gorman, and Cat Taylor-Schanbacher and her husband, Billy.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his visitation on Tuesday, August 6, 2019, from 6-8 PM at The GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ. Interment with a graveside service with military honors will be offered at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, August 7, 2019, in Convent Novo-Diveevo Church Cemetery, 100 Smith Rd., Nanuet, Spring Valley, NY 10954.
