Obituary for Olga DeNicola (D'Ippoliti)

OLGA DeNICOLA, 97, of Jackson Twp., NJ, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 1, 2019, at Bella Terra Assisted Living, Jackson Twp. She was born in the Bronx, NY, and resided in Roselle, NJ, prior to settling in Jackson Twp.
Olga worked (in her early years) in New York City as a secretary for Aeronautics Company that insured Piper Planes. After her children were in school, she went back to work at Goerke’s Department Store, Elizabeth, NJ, and Steinbeck’s Department Store, Elizabeth, NJ, where she worked in the Accounting Department, and also worked in retail at Poppies, Elizabeth, NJ.
She was a communicant of the Church of the Assumption, Roselle Park, NJ.
Olga was an excellent Italian cook and loved baking. She was active in bowling, the senior citizens club of the Church of the Assumption, and enjoyed reading, traveling and sightseeing, and loved her family. She was always interested in nutrition and was never sick a day in her life.
Olga married the love of her life, Robert DeNicola on September 10, 1944. Robert predeceased Olga in March of 1977.
She was also predeceased by her brother, John D’Ippoliti in June of 2019. Olga is survived by her daughters, Diane Inman and her husband, Ted of Jackson Twp., NJ, and Elaine DeNicola Nau and her husband, Roy of Tabernacle, NJ; her grandchildren, Lori Ann Alexio-Howard and her husband, Edwin, Tracy Nicole Yetter and her husband, Robert, DeAnn Marie Inman, and Suzann Kay Inman; and by her great grandchildren, Landon Robert Howard and Juliet Faith Howard.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her visitation from 4-5:30 PM with her Funeral Service at 5:30 PM on Tuesday, August 6, 2019, at the GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, 980 Bennetts mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ 08527. A private cremation will follow. Inurnment will take place at 11:30 AM on Friday August 9, 2019, in Ferncliff Cemetery, 280 Secor Rd., Hartsdale, NY 10530. Please gather in the cemetery at 11:15 AM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Olga’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942 and would be greatly appreciated.
