Obituary for Joanne Ziobro (Verginis)
JOANNE ZIOBRO, 75, of Jackson Twp., NJ, passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2019, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Twp., NJ. She was born in Newark, NJ, and lived in Manalapan, NJ, prior to settling in Jackson Twp., 17 years ago.
Joanne was employed with Delta Dental, Parsippany, NJ, as a claim investigator, prior to her retirement in January 2004. Recently, Joanne has been active as a volunteer with AARP as a Tax Aide.
She was very active in the Catholic Church, including design and making of vestments.
Joanne will be remembered as a loving and caring wife, sister, mother and grandmother.
She was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Marie Verginis. Joanne is survived by her husband of 55 years, Adam Ziobro; her son, Andrew Ziobro and his wife, Jeanne of Bound Brook, NJ; her daughter, Kathy Wood and her husband, Alistair of Singapore; her grandchildren, Aidan, Abbigail, Stuart, Heather, and Robbie; and by her sister, Mimi Nowak and her husband, Phil Ouellette of Somerset, NJ.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her visitation from 4-8 PM, on Monday, June 3, 2019, at the GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, 980 Bennetts Mills Road, Jackson Twp., NJ. A funeral gathering will be offered at 8:30 AM on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at the funeral home, followed by her funeral liturgy at 9:30 AM at St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, 935 Bennetts Mills Road, Jackson Twp., NJ. A private cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joanne’s memory to Habitat for Humanity, 121 Habitat St., Americus, GA 31709, and would be greatly appreciated.
