Obituary for Miguel A. Irizarry
MIGUEL A. IRIZARRY, 79, of Jackson Twp., NJ, passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2019, at home. He was born in Guanica, Puerto Rico, and settled in Jackson Twp., 2 ½ years ago.
Miguel was employed as a chef for the Hilton, Eatontown, NJ, prior to his retirement in 1994.
He is predeceased by his parents, Julio and Angela Irizarry. Miguel is survived by his wife of 61 years, Santa Irizarry; his son, Miguel Irizarry Jr.; his daughter Maria Papa and her husband, Frank; his 4 grandchildren; his 5 great grandchildren; his brothers, Louis Irizarry, Aribelto Irizarry, and Julio Irizarry; and by his sisters, Carmen Martinez, Lirio Irizarry, Antonia Irizarry, Gloria Irizarry, and Juana Irizarry.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his visitation from 1-8 PM on Monday, May 13, 2019, at the GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ 08527. A funeral gathering will be offered at 9:30 AM on Tuesday, May 14, 2019, at the funeral home. His funeral liturgy will follow at 10:30 AM at St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, 935 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ. Interment will follow in St. Mary of the Lake Cemetery, 1 Honey Locust Drive, Lakewood Twp., NJ.
