Obituary for Regina M. Covello (Halligan)
REGINA M. COVELLO, 92, of Howell Twp., NJ, passed away on Saturday, February 2, 2019, at Monmouth Medical Center, Southern Campus, Lakewood, NJ. She was born in Jersey City, NJ and settled in Howell Twp., 59 years ago.
Regina was employed as a secretary with Howell Twp. Board of Education for 25 years, prior to her retirement in 1993.
She was a communicant of The Church of St. Veronica, Howell Twp., NJ.
Regina loved the beach and going to bingo. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren loved spending time with her.
She was predeceased by her husband, Aristide in 1968. Regina is survived by her sons, Robert E. Covello and his wife, Linda of Pine Beach, NJ, and Thomas J. Covello and his wife, Veronica of Barnegat, NJ; her daughter, Regina Covello of Howell Twp.; her 8 grandchildren; and by her 16 great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her visitation from 4-8 PM on Tuesday, February 5, 2019, at the GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ. A funeral gathering will be offered at 8:30 AM on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at the funeral home. Her funeral liturgy will be offered at 9:30 AM on Wednesday, February 6, 2019, at The Church of St. Veronica, 4215 Rt. 9 North, Howell Twp., NJ. A private cremation will follow. If so desired, memorial contributions may be made in Regina’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942, and would be greatly appreciated.
