Obituary for Fredric L. Chagrin
FREDRIC L. CHAGRIN, 80, of Jackson Twp., NJ passed away peacefully on Monday, January 14, 2019 at Monmouth Medical Center, Southern Campus in Lakewood Twp. He was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, settling here 57 years ago.
Fred worked for Somerset Industries in New Brunswick as a designer and electrical engineer for 20 years before retiring.
Fred enjoyed computer programming as a hobby and was a former member of Star Thru Squares
(a square dance club).
Fred was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Mae Chagrin and his first wife, Sandra Manna. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Marilyn; his sons, Scott and his wife, Jane of Jackson Twp., NJ, Jerry of Browns Mills, NJ and Michael and his wife, Hanna of Whiting, NJ; his grandchildren, Cory of New Albany, PA, Shaina of Bayville, NJ, Samantha of Forked River, NJ, Raechel of Whiting, NJ and Robert of Browns Mills, NJ; his great grandchildren, Tristen, Jordan and Thomas; his step-children, Richard of Bellingham, WA, Roger of Bayou Vista, TX and Sherry of Newfoundland, PA; and by his step-grandchildren, Nicholas and Carl of Cape May, NJ, Nathaniel of Phila., PA, Sarah of Howell Twp., NJ and Emily of Pen Argyll, PA.
The family would like to thank the Jackson First Aid Squad, the Jackson Police Department and the staff at Monmouth Medical Center, Southern Campus for their help.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his memorial gathering on Saturday, January 26, 2019 from 1-3 PM followed with his memorial service at 3 PM at The GEORGE S.
