Obituary for Jean E. Simmons (Maillard)
JEAN E. SIMMONS, 71, of Jackson Twp., NJ, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 3, 2018, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold, NJ, with her family by her side. She resided in East Orange, NJ, prior to settling in Jackson Twp., 40 years ago.
Jean enjoyed her work as a Transcriptionist for over 40 years retiring in 2018.
Most important to Jean was her family, and the time spent with them. Holidays were the most special time and the memories will be cherished.
She was predeceased by her parents, Edward and Corinne Maillard; her husband, Raymond Simmons; her sister, Connie; and by her brothers, John and his wife, Jill, Peter, and Russell. Jean is survived by her sons, Raymond F. Simmons of Clermont, FL, Christopher W. Simmons and his wife, Andrea of Clermont, FL, Steven E. Simmons of Pemberton, NJ, William M. Simmons and his wife, Helen Rupp of Lakewood, NJ, and Matthew M. Simmons and his wife, Loren of Wichita Falls, TX; her 6 grandchildren, Christopher Simmons, Daniel Simmons, Ashley Simmons, Patrick Simmons, Brenna Botts and her husband, Josiah, and Nathaniel Simmons; her great grandson, Benjamin Botts; and by her sister, LuAnn and her husband, John.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her visitation from 5-8 PM on Monday, December 10, 2018, at the GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ 08527. A funeral gathering will be offered at 9:00 AM followed by her Funeral Service at 9:30 AM on Tuesday, December 11, 2018, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at 11:00 AM in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Provinceline Rd., Arneytown, NJ 08562. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Jean’s memory to the American Cancer Society, 2310 Rt 34, Suite 1-D, Manasquan, NJ 08736 and would be greatly appreciated.
