RUTH SYLVESTER, 81, of Jackson Twp., NJ, passed away on Wednesday, May 2, 2018, at home. She was born in Neptune, NJ, and resided in Wall, NJ, East Aurora, NY, and Toms River, NJ, prior to settling in Jackson Twp., 7 years ago.
Ruth was employed as a health hot line expert with Roswell Park Institute, Buffalo, NY, for 10 years prior to her retirement. She also worked for JC Penny.
She was predeceased by her Parents, Emil and Josephine Carlson; her Brothers, Richard Carlson, and Clarence Carlson; and by her Sisters, Dorothy and Don Newman, and Ester Costigan. Ruth is survived by her Daughter, Dawn Saboy Edelson and her Husband, Joel of Jackson Twp., NJ; and by her 2 Grandchildren, Thomas Saboy and Ashley Edelson.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her visitation from 4-7:30 PM followed by a Family Service at 7:30 PM on Thursday, May 3, 2018, at the GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ 08527. A private cremation will follow.
