MICHAEL ANTHONY FOSSATI, SR., age 70, of Howell Twp., NJ, passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2017, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick, NJ. He was born in Lakewood, NJ, and resided in Jamesburg, NJ, before moving to Howell Twp. 35 years ago.
Michael was employed as a heavy equipment operator by Jersey Concrete and then by the Monmouth County Highway Department, retiring in 2004.
He was an avid bowler and slot player. In addition, he loved fishing and antique cars, as well as working on them.
Michael was predeceased by his parents, Silvio (Mike) and Millie Fossati. He is survived by his son, Michael Fossati, Jr.; Grandson, Anthony Fossati; his brother, James Fossati and his wife, Debbie; and by his Fiance, Marie Szot.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his visitation, on Thursday, October, 19, 2017 from 4-8 PM at the GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ 08527. A funeral gathering will be offered at 10:30 AM on Friday, October 20, 2017, at the funeral home. A chapel service and entombment will follow at 12:00 PM in Ocean County Memorial Park, 1722 Silverton Rd., Toms River, NJ.
