Obituary for Calvin G. Weisel

Calvin G.  Weisel
CALVIN G. WEISEL, age 90, of Manchester Twp., NJ, passed away on Thursday, June 29, 2017, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Twp., NJ. He was born in Plainsboro, NJ, and resided in Jackson Twp. for many years before settling in Manchester Twp.
He worked for the Ocean County Road Department, Jackson Twp. Garage, for many years before his retirement.
Calvin served as a Construction Mechanic with the Seabees of the United States Navy, during World War II and the Korean War.
He was a member of the VFW Post 4703, Jackson Twp. and was a Past Chief and life- member of the Jackson Mills Volunteer Fire Company (station 54).
He was predeceased by his Parents, Charles and Beatrice Weisel; his Wife, Vivian in January, 2013; his Granddaughter, Krystal Weisel; his Brothers and their Spouses, Charles and Martha, Alonzo and Veronica, Frances and Mildred, Albert and Mildred, and Joseph and Gail; and by his Sisters and their Spouses, Ida and Nick Ippalito, and Arleen and Red Jennings. He is survived by his Sons, Calvin F. Weisel and his Wife, Sandra of Wrightstown, NJ, Bernard C. Weisel, Sr. and his Wife, Kim of Jackson Twp., and Vincent J. Weisel and his Wife, Carolann of Jackson Twp.; his Daughter, Beatrice Greenberger of AZ; his Brother, Harold Weisel and his Wife, Joyce of Pawling, NY; his Grandchildren, Bernard Weisel, Cody Weisel, Joseph Weisel, Jacqulyn Weisel, Vincent Weisel, and Tara Weisel; and by his Great grandchildren, Bryson, Sophia, and Elijah.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his visitation on Wednesday, July 5, 2017, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ 08527. A funeral gathering will be offered at 9 AM on Thursday, July 6, 2017, at the funeral home. A chapel service and interment with Military Honors will follow at 10:30 AM at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Province Line Rd., Arneytown, NJ.
