John M.  Early
JOHN M. EARLY, 87, of Howell Twp., NJ, passed away on Thursday, October 18, 2018, at Ocean Medical Center, Brick, NJ. He was born in Jersey City, NJ, and resided in Howell Twp., and Holiday, FL, prior to returning to Howell Twp., 2 months ago.
John was a United States Army Veteran serving as a Staff Sergeant and Purple Heart recipient during the Korean War and later serving in the Army National Guard, earning the Combat Infantry Badge.
He was employed as a Bus Driver for NJ Transit for 25 years prior to his retirement in 1995.
John was a communicant of St. Vincent DePaul, Holiday, FL.
He was predeceased by his parents, Francis and Johanna Early; his brothers, Francis, James, Arthur and Thomas; and by his sisters, Joan and Theresa. John is survived by his wife of 64 years, Mary Ann Early of Howell Twp.; his sons, Stephen Early and his wife, Patti of Bear, DE, and John Early and his Fiancé Tracy Huebsch of Howell Twp.; his daughter, Susan Maniscalco and her husband, John of Howell Twp.; his 7 grandchildren, Alison DeCampli and her husband, Mike, Matthew Maniscalco, Ashley Early Curtis and her husband, Matt, Jonathan Early, Stephen Maniscalco, Krista Huebsch, and Kaitlan Huebsch; his 6 great grandchildren; his brother, Robert Early; his sisters, Carol Murtha and Linda Early; and by his brother-in-law, Renold Happel.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his visitation from 4-8 PM on Tuesday, October 23, 2018, at the GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ 08527. A funeral gathering will be offered at 8:15 AM on Wednesday, October 24, 2018, at the funeral home. His Funeral Liturgy will follow at 9:15 AM at The Church of St. Veronica, 4215 Rt. 9 North, Howell, NJ 07731. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Brig. Gen William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Provinceline Rd., Arneytown, NJ 08562.
