ROSEMARY SCHOTT, 89, of Jackson Twp., NJ, passed away on Friday, September 21, 2018, at home. She was born in Bayonne, NJ, and resided there until settling in Jackson Twp., 55 years ago.
Rosemary was an educator for 44 years, most of that time a teacher of third grade at Lucy N. Holman Elementary School, Jackson Twp., NJ, until her retirement in 1994.
She was a communicant of St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, Jackson Twp., NJ.
Rosemary was predeceased by her parents, Dennis and Brigid O’Leary; her husband, Ronald Schott; her brother, James O’Leary and his wife Joan; her sisters, Regina Ward and her husband, Johnny, and Irene O’Leary; and by her daughter-in-law, Lisa Lovell. She is survived by her sons, Peter D. Schott and his wife, Kathleen of Howell, NJ, Edmund D. Schott of Honolulu, HI, Ronald J. Schott and his wife, Liza of Monroe, NJ, Thomas M. Schott and his wife, Cecelia of Summerville, SC, and Matthew G. Schott and his wife, Meredith of Voorhees, NJ; her daughters, Suzanne I. Hills and her husband, William of East Brunswick, NJ, Celine R. Taylor of Jackson Twp., NJ, Lisa B. Joseph and her husband, Gary of Jackson Twp., NJ, and Ruth-Anne Linke and her husband, Paul of Jackson Twp., NJ; her 22 grandchildren; and by her 8 great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her visitation from 4-8 PM on Thursday, September 27, 2018, at the GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ 08527. A funeral gathering will be offered at 8:30 AM on Friday, September 28, 2018, at the funeral home. Her Funeral Liturgy will follow at 9:30 AM at St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, 935 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, 1 Honey Locust Dr., Lakewood, NJ 08701. If so desired, contributions may be made in Rosemary’s memory to St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, 935 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ 08527 and would be greatly appreciated.
