MARY ELLEN HARDY, 71, of Jackson Twp., NJ, passed away on Monday, August 13, 2018, at home. She was born in Sayreville, NJ, and resided there until settling in Westlake Golf and Country Club in Jackson Twp., 17 years ago.
Mary graduated from Sayreville War Memorial High School, Sayreville, NJ, and then Middlesex County College, Edison, NJ, earning an Associate in Applied Arts Degree in Business Administration.
She was employed as an Employment Counselor and Copy Writer for Olsten Mann Employment Agency, New Brunswick, NJ, for 35 years prior to her retirement.
Mary was a communicant of St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, Jackson Twp., where she was a member of the Rosary Society. She was also a member of the Westlake Photography Club and the Westlake Women’s Club.
Mary is survived by her husband of 18 years, John (Jack) Hardy; and several cousins, nephews, and nieces that she loved dearly.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her visitation from 4-8 PM on Friday, August 17, 2018, at the GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ 08527. A funeral gathering will be offered at 8:00 AM on Saturday, August 18, 2018, at the funeral home. Her Funeral Liturgy will follow at 9:00 AM at St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, 935 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Victories Cemetery, Washington Rd., Sayreville, NJ 08872.
